The Talented Youth of Today May Surprise You

Design campaign for the state of Utah
Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia is currently running their Annual Fellowship and Student Art Exhibition. It's a chance to see what the talented group of women have been creating all year. I must say it is pretty impressive. This women from the ages of 18 to ...well  I don't know even older than me, have managed to compile a splendid showing of art ranging from fine arts, graphic design (that's me), illustration, fashion and interior designs, sculpture, photography and much much more.

I am honored to be among these very talented women, with three of my own pieces hanging in the show. After a long hard year, it was a welcome confirmation that I was traveling on the right path in my career. The piece you see above was from an assignment where we were given a state to design a logo using their two abbreviation letters. The next step was to create a postcard campaign using facts about the state with the logo elements. Take notice to the bees, all made from logo pieces. You may also view my Kabel poster as well as a hand made book I have there.

The school and galleries are located at 20th Street and the Parkway in Philadelphia. I would highly recommend you stopping by the galleries at Moore from now till April 14th and take a peek at what the future holds within the art and design world. Plus admissions free, you could make a day of it on the parkway, the Museum of Natural Science is celebrating their 200th birthday and the Franklin Institute are all next door.
